Grungy window
Window and clothes rack
Window and red fire escape
Here are some old windows I found in my archives while sorting through some images. These were taken this past summer from the Manhattan Bridge. The windows are level with the bridge at this point and are from an old building in Chinatown. I always find it interesting what people keep inside, and outside of their windows. . .
Sheila, I thought about you when I found these. :)

I love the laundry window. The diagonal lines and colors are wonderful. Good stuff!
Argh....these are great....must...stop...reaching for paintbrush because have other project that need to be done....argh.
Interesting shots Gary. They raise so many questions about what or who might be behind the windows.
The laundry rack slats look like giant chopsticks! They look like they are attached to the wall inside and must have to be hauled in to retrieve the clothes. It is always intriguing to see how others live - and your photographs give us a tantalizing glimpse.
Oh dear. Those are very grungy windows. Hmmm this has gotten me thinking. I don't care how poor you are- you can still live with dignity and clean your windows (I'm not talking to you of course, but to the people that inhabit those spaces). Laundry does not bother me- that is a very eco friendly way to dry clothes and I approve :) But the mops and rags and overall grime? ugh. Great pictures though!
Gary,
Your photography is quite interesting to say the least. I found your comment on Life at Willow Manor. Hope you are having a wonderful day. Best to you.

Hi Gary,
I like these photos very much. The windows have so much character. I know they are dirty and bit old but I imagine there is a lot history behind them... If they were clean and new they would not be very interesting from an artistic point of view!
By the way I did not really see a ghost in Wells, just a ghostly statue.
Happy Halloween.;)

I love those windows! There is so much poesie in the way you pictured them!
Lots of character here... fading, peeling history.
A wonderful series of old windows! The red color of the ladder, and the green window are quite beautiful..
I love these Window shots. Very earthy nd textured. Good work!
These are fantastic. Window and door shots are some of my favorites. This is my first visit here, but won't be my last.
