One of my favorite places to visit is Mystic Seaport in Mystic, CT. It is the largest maritime museum in the United States and offers the opportunities to step aboard old ships and stroll through re-created 19th century coastal villages. Also full of great photo-ops. Here a re a few from my recent visits.

What a fantastic place to get lost with a camera for a day or a week! They are all excellent and visually telling pieces! there are several i really love but I am particularly drawn to the one with the cooking utensils and potatoes on the table while viewing out the half parted curtain...very natural and transports me to another time.
Beautiful place and beautiful pictures!! I particularly love the 5th picture from the top, it reminds me the south of France.
You made me want to visit that place!!
Thanks for the comments.
Karen, of course you can use my peeps!
Theresa, that photo is one of my favorites as well because of the quaint scene and natural lighting. i also like the concept of looking outside from within. . .
Angel's Hair you would love this place. Try to get there one day. The salty sea sir and smell and creaking of old wood brings another layer of greatness to this place.
These photos are great Gary! I especially favor the last three =)

My favorite of the series was the first one...out the window with the baskets. Beautiful job Gary
