New York water towers 15
So this is the 15th in the series. It is also one of my favorites yet as it incorporates everything that I love about the city, and the water towers that stand out againt the sky. There is grit, high contrast, shadows, subtle color, lots of windows with air conditioners hanging out of them, and sex. (I love some of these things more than others . . .)These were found near Lafayette and Jersey street in lower Manhattan.
The print is available here.

Wow... sounds and looks like all the ingredients of a pulp fiction novel. Great Capture!
loving this tower series, gritty yet beautiful. The soft colors contrast nicely with the subject matter -cool!
Very nice image and series! The Coney Island Boardwalk ones are very interesting! Loved seeing those...

So cool...and so hot, too.
How do you do that:
raw-and-gritty-yet-reflective-surface-shimmer-of-Summer-thing ...
you do so well?
Heat, sweat, grit, sex ... everything I associate with New York City in one photo. :)
I love the colors and texture, the look great! Beautiful work.
I keep thinking you'll never be able to top your latest watertower photo and then you do...this one is so fabulous.
I just wanted to let you know how much I like your blog and how much I appreciate your comments when you visit the Veranda.
Ok Gary...that one made me laugh out loud. Yes, I know I'm behind and I will catch up.
