And yet another . . .
Last week I took my son Kyle up to the Adirondacks for some great sights and adventures. Although his favorite part is the pool back at the hotel, he had a great trip time climbing and exploring the Ausable Chasm and the Natural stone bridge and caves.
We also hopped on the ferry at Port Kent and took it across Lake Champlain to Vermont where we walked around and explored some more. They have a pretty cool aquarium in Burlington and was worth the visit.
I had my fun stopping alongside the road whenever I spotted an old shack or barn.
I hope to get back up there again in a few weeks on my own specifically for photography.

Wonderful photos Gary. I love the portrait of your son. Beautiful composition and kid! The first old leaning shack in Jay is incredible too. It looks as if it is ready to lift off right into that awesome sky. Well done!
Fabulous photos! I have been to all those places (except the old barns) and your shots bring me right back. Loved the one from within the cave - so much symbolism that could be conjured up from that.

I liked your b/w phot taken from inside the cave. You managed to capture so much detail. The next time I coin the phrase, 'I can see the light at the end of the tunnel,' I will think of this image, :)

I love how the photos made me feel that I was the first person who had seen those places ever - the first time a human had ever set foot by those rocks and water.
Great shots, Gary. I can't even pick a favorite although I like the one from inside the cave and the last barn which looks like a black and white but with subtle color. I love old shacks and barns especially! (I was going to finish the sentence with "on film," guess those days are gone, LOL.
What amazing, wonderful pics of landscapes and caves. I love the old barns. Could be a very interesting subject for a painting.

What a lovely area to shoot. I'm a sucker for old barns, too.
My fav. is the view from whiteface mountain. The clouds swirling around and the light on that body of water in the distance are just magical!
